happy holiday friday

This Sunday Ryan and I are going to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular for the third time! I think you’re allowed to have silly traditions this time of year… kind of like us going this week to see the Macy’s window displays and taking pictures like a tourist!

set design: home alone
December 18th, 2009 · 1 Comment · Decoration
This set could have something to do with the fact that my dream house is a brick faced colonial with a black front door and shutters. There’s something classic and very american about the look of the Home Alone set. It’s no secret that this is my favorite Christmas movie!

Christmas is my favorite time of year, and I love decorating with family ornaments that are 50 plus years old. I’ve never been a fan of designer Christmas decorations [...]

charlie brown christmas

I was never a fan of Charlie Brown holiday movies, (sorry, Charlie!), but this Christmas decoration is pretty sweet.
Sorry for the light posting! The holidays are so overwhelming, and I’ve been helping R’s sister move and paint. On a side note, if you ever need to paint a dark color please use Benjamin Moore Aura [...]

Everyone has their favorite Christmas movie, whether it be Rudolph, The Holiday, or Christmas Vacation. Mine has always been Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and R and I watch it every year around Christmas time. Last year I finally found these ornaments for our first Christmas tree after looking for years for something [...]
