dream pantry

April 8th, 2010 · No Comments · Kitchens

While I love my pantry, this is just a little bit more amazing! Shallow shelves seem to be the best solution in a situation like this so you can see everything all at once.

my kitchen’s pantry

March 23rd, 2010 · 1 Comment · Kitchens

So the pantry is finally finished! I’ve been waiting to post photos until we finally had the molding on and painted. With most projects, it’s the little things that seem to stay on your to-do list forever. Originally we thought we were also going to add a wall to make our studio into a one [...]

wallpaper in the kitchen

March 18th, 2010 · No Comments · Kitchens

Wallpaper is a nontraditional yet interesting material to use in the kitchen. In this application, the homeowner sacrificed upper cabinets for storage, but used the shelf to store beautiful kitchen items with a beautiful patterned backdrop.

(apartment therapy.)
What do you think? Would you ever use wallpaper in the kitchen?

classic penny rounds

March 9th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Bathrooms, Kitchens

Forgive me for not feeling very motivated to write lately. What better way to get back into the groove of things than to feature the classic and modern material… penny rounds!

wood cutting board

March 1st, 2010 · No Comments · Kitchens

I’ve been watching a lot of the food network lately, and have learned to feel even more comfortable in the kitchen. Just watching other people’s techniques (in anything) helps me. Because Ryan and I have a teeny kitchen, with not very much cabinet space I’ve been looking for things we should register for and I’ve [...]

breakfast room

February 2nd, 2010 · No Comments · Interior Design, Kitchens

How perfect would this room be to sip your morning coffee and read the newspaper?! I’ve always had a love affair for these chairs and credenza, and seeing them together in this room soaked with natural light gives me butterflies (seriously!).

indoor picnic

January 28th, 2010 · No Comments · Kitchens

These indoor/outdoor kitchens by David Mikhail are a feast for the eyes. In urban areas it’s a luxury to have an outdoor space, but these kitchens get the best of both worlds!

lofty ambitions

January 18th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Bedrooms, Interior Design, Kitchens

This is one of the best uses of a small space! The loft style bed is accessible by the ladder which also doubles as an interesting looking window treatment! I’m also loving the stainless cabinets with black countertop surround! Delish!

dutch oven

January 13th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Kitchens, Recipes

So… after reading Decorno’s post on a dutch oven, it’s got me thinking. The Barefoot Contessa is always using them on her show, and everyone has them listed on registries, but do people really use them? I can’t see spending so much money on one item (Le Creuset) in the kitchen, but if I want [...]
